Northwest Navigator, Oregon’s first Green certified luxury motor coach provider, was honored this month by Portland Business Journal as one of 2012’s 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies.
The award is given to businesses in the Portland area that demonstrate obvious growth and exceptional potential within a short period of time. “We’re so happy to see that our hard work and dedication are paying off,” said Roxanne Gillis, Northwest Navigator’s President. “We love the growth and we’re excited to see the direction we’re heading.”
The list was announced at a countdown party held on June 21st, where the red carpet was rolled out for men and women who are the up-and-coming “Who’s Who” of Portland-area entrepreneurs. Gillis, along with Joe Gillis and key staff were present at the party to accept the award. “We enjoy being involved in such a thriving business community and are thankful for the network of support we’ve received from our families, friends, and clients,” said Gillis.
Northwest Navigator provides high quality, reliable, luxury transportation for groups aboard its late-model, biodiesel fueled fleet. Additionally, the Portland Business Journal has honored it as being one of Portland’s Top Women-Owned Businesses. Its Green certification was given by the Green Coach Certification Research initiative (GCC) as part of a multi-year project being developed at the University of Vermont, in close collaboration with the American Bus Association (ABA) and the United Motorcoach Association (UMA).
